Summer is practically here, and along with a “little” new theme park called Universal Epic Universe opening on May 22, Universal Orlando Resort has some fun in store for its other parks.
Here is what’s coming to Universal Orlando Resort this summer:
Universal Studios Florida
- Universal Mega Movie Parade – April 12–November 13
- Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular – Select Dates April 14–August 24
- M3GAN is coming to Universal Studios Florida to celebrate the release of M3GAN 2.0
- The San Francisco area of the park is celebrating 50 years of ‘Jaws’ with decor, limited-time food and beverage offerings, along with a ton of exclusive merchandise
- ‘Back To The Future’ celebrates 40 years with exclusive merchandise
- Elphaba and Glinda will be returning to Wicked: The Experience for photo ops from June 23 – August 10.
Universal also announced that guests will be able to enjoy 4th of July live characters and a DJ spinning tunes in the Music Plaza, a pyrotechnic display launched from the roof of TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D
Islands of Adventure
- Near Doc Sugrue’s Desert Kebab House, there will be a new themed shopping experience in celebration of the upcoming live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon.”
- To celebrate the release of ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’, Jurassic Park will feature themed photo ops as well as exclusive food and beverage items at The Burger Digs. Starting May 23, you can also pick up some exclusive “Jurassic World: Rebirth” merchandise in Jurassic Outfitters and Dinostore.
- Celebrate 15 years of ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ beginning in mid-June with a commemorative glass plaque commemorating 15 years of Hogsmeade at Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando Passholders
- An exclusive viewing area for the Mega Movie Parade
- Exclusive seating areas in select dining locations
- Exclusive menu items
- Exclusive merchandise commemorating the 35th anniversary of Universal Studios Florida
- 3-Park Passholder Early Park Admission at Universal Volcano Bay
Universal CityWalk
The Summer Movie Series will feature a variety of movies for everyone to enjoy, including:
- “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial”: May 17 and 21
- “The Mummy”: May 31 and June 4
- “The Fast and the Furious”: June 7 and June 11
- “Kung Fu Panda”: June 28 and July 2
- “Trolls”: July 12 and 16
- “Shrek”: July 26 and 30
