Disneyland Resort is embarking on an ambitious expansion, introducing new attractions and infrastructure enhancements to elevate the guest experience.
🚗 Enhanced Parking and Transportation Hub
A new parking structure and transportation hub are planned for the east side of the resort, replacing a portion of the current Manchester cast member parking lot. This development will offer approximately 6,000 parking spaces, dedicated areas for shuttles and rideshares, and improved traffic flow with access from Disney Way. A pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard will connect guests directly to a new esplanade, streamlining entry into the parks.
🎢 Upcoming Attractions at Disney California Adventure
-
Coco-Themed Attraction: Set to be constructed near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, this new ride will bring the vibrant world of Pixar’s Coco to life. Construction is scheduled to begin in the backstage areas this fall.
-
Avatar Experience: A portion of the Hollywood Backlot area will be transformed into an immersive Avatar destination. To accommodate this, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! will close in early 2026. Further details on the Avatar project will be shared as development progresses.
These initiatives are part of DisneylandForward, a multi-year public planning effort aimed at expanding and enhancing the Disneyland Resort.
