Today, Disneyland Resort commemorated its 70th anniversary with a heartfelt celebration centered around the individuals who have brought joy and magic to millions—its dedicated cast members.

The milestone morning began with a special, cast-exclusive event held inside Disneyland Park. The celebration featured live entertainment, unique photo opportunities, and a moving flag-raising ceremony led by veteran cast members, setting a tone of pride and appreciation.

Joining the festivities were The Walt Disney Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Bob Iger, and Disney Experiences Chairman, Josh D’Amaro, who addressed the cast and shared their gratitude. Together with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, the leaders took part in a special moment as they ceremoniously rang the New York Stock Exchange opening bell from the heart of Disneyland. Continuing the celebration, Iger officially opened the park gates and joined cast members on Main Street, U.S.A., to welcome guests for a day of unforgettable memories.
July 17 also marks the debut of a new advertising campaign showcasing how, even after 70 years, Disneyland Resort remains the cherished destination where people gather to celebrate life’s happiest moments.
Guests visiting today are invited to take part in the celebration with a commemorative souvenir guide map, a limited-edition anniversary button (while supplies last), and a special 70th anniversary cavalcade set to take place this afternoon.
As Disneyland Resort honors its past and looks toward the future, the spirit of magic, joy, and cast member excellence continues to shine brighter than ever.
