New TRON: Ares Ride Experience Arrives This Fall

This fall, guests at Magic Kingdom and Shanghai Disneyland will find themselves stepping into a bold, new realm—a Tron: Ares–themed overlay that reimagines the TRON Lightcycle attraction.

As celebrated actress and Disney ambassador Yvette Nicole Brown revealed at the Walt Disney Studios showcase during Destination D23, both TRON Lightcycle / Run at Walt Disney World and TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland are getting a cinematic facelift to coincide with the upcoming Tron: Ares film release.

Where once the ride glowed in calm blues and oranges, riders will now blaze through twisting tunnels awash in vibrant red and orange light trails.

Soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails

The experience doesn’t stop at what you see. The industrial, pulsating beats of Nine Inch Nails now drive the ride’s audio—creating a perfect synergy of sight and sound that transports you from the Grid into a technicolor reality.
