It’s almost time to blast off at LEGOLAND Florida Resort! The park has officially announced its first indoor coaster in more than 20 years, Galacticoaster, set to open in early 2026 as part of a brand-new space-themed land.
A First for LEGOLAND Florida
Housed inside a massive 30,000-square-foot building towering more than 50 feet high, Galacticoaster is designed as LEGOLAND Florida’s most ambitious ride to date. Crews are hard at work installing nearly 1,500 feet of track that will send families on an immersive LEGO intergalactic adventure.
The coaster combines high-speed thrills with LEGO storytelling, allowing guests to board customizable LEGO spacecraft and journey through dazzling cosmic scenes filled with light, sound, and special effects.
Construction by the Numbers
The ride’s scope is staggering, with construction stats that rival even the biggest projects in the park’s history:
- 400+ concrete trucks used for a single monolithic pour
- 48 track sections supported by 120 columns
- 18,000-pound station conveyor belt
- More than 110,000 hours of work contributed by designers, engineers, and builders from around the world
“From the very beginning, we aimed to create an immersive experience for our guests the moment they step inside,” said Blake Boyter, Senior Project Manager at Merlin Magic Making. “Guests will experience more LEGO storytelling, more excitement, and more out-of-this-world fun than ever before.”
A Milestone for the Park
Galacticoaster is the first indoor coaster to be built inside the main park since LEGOLAND Florida opened in 2011. With its mix of family-friendly thrills, LEGO theming, and cutting-edge technology, the attraction represents a new era for LEGOLAND.
Set to debut in early 2026, Galacticoaster will be part of a larger space-themed land, adding to LEGOLAND Florida’s lineup of unique rides, shows, and attractions.
