A touch of Tangled magic is coming to one of Disneyland Park’s most beloved attractions this winter. When Storybook Land Canal Boats reopens as part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, guests will be greeted by an enchanting new scene inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Tangled — complete with Rapunzel’s iconic tower and twinkling lanterns.
A Fairytale Addition to a Classic Attraction
Standing tall above a meadow of flowers and boulders between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall, Rapunzel’s tower will bring the beloved story to life in miniature form. Guests will notice a series of Flynn Rider “Wanted” posters decorating the stone wall, while a small dock below features a boat inspired by the one from the film’s lantern sequence — the perfect detail for Disney fans to spot during their voyage.
Musical Magic from Day to Night
The experience will shift with the time of day. During daylight hours, visitors will hear “When Will My Life Begin?” echoing from Rapunzel’s tower, while at dusk, the melody transitions to “I See the Light”, evoking the unforgettable moment when Rapunzel and Flynn watch the lanterns illuminate the night sky.

The addition of the Tangled-themed scene continues Disneyland’s legacy of combining timeless storytelling with fresh imagination. As part of the park’s ongoing enhancements for its 70th anniversary, this update pays tribute to Walt Disney’s original vision of Storybook Land — a tranquil boat ride that lets guests “sail through” the stories of beloved Disney films — while introducing new generations to modern classics.
Guests can look forward to seeing Rapunzel’s Tower when Storybook Land Canal Boats reopens this winter at Disneyland Park.
