The Walt Disney Company is gearing up for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration as it joins the nation in honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States with a new initiative called “Disney Celebrating America.”
Beginning Veterans Day 2025 and continuing through July 4, 2026, the company-wide celebration will bring together Disney’s storytelling, parks, and media platforms to honor America’s past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future.
Through unique experiences, heartfelt storytelling, and special initiatives supporting veterans, military families, and local communities, Disney will spotlight the people and places that make the country special — continuing a legacy of inspiration that’s been part of Disney’s story for more than a century.
A Coast-to-Coast Celebration in the Parks
Guests visiting Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort can look forward to a major highlight of the celebration — the debut of Soarin’ Across America, opening in Summer 2026. This reimagined version of the fan-favorite attraction will take guests on an unforgettable flight across the United States, showcasing breathtaking landscapes and iconic city skylines.
A Star-Spangled Broadcast Event
The celebration will reach its grand finale over July 4th weekend 2026 with a special 24-hour multi-platform broadcast, “Disney Celebrates America.” The live event will air across Disney’s television networks and streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, ESPN, Freeform, FX, National Geographic, and Disney Channel.
Anchored by World News Tonight’s David Muir, the broadcast will feature live coverage from across the country, appearances by top entertainers, athletes, historians, and explorers — all culminating in a spectacular fireworks finale broadcast live from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
