Universal Volcano Bay is officially switching to a cashless experience beginning February 25, 2026, streamlining purchases throughout the park for a faster, more seamless guest experience.
Once the update takes effect, all food, beverage, merchandise, and in-park purchases must be made using credit or debit cards, Universal Pay, Universal Gift Cards, or other tap-to-pay methods. Cash will no longer be accepted directly at registers.
Guests who arrive with cash won’t be left out. Cash-to-Card kiosks will be available inside the park, allowing visitors to convert cash into a Visa prepaid card that can be used throughout Volcano Bay and anywhere major credit cards are accepted outside the park.
Universal also confirmed a seasonal closure for Volcano Bay beginning October 26, 2026, with a planned reopening on or before March 24, 2027.
