Upon arrival, the ship was honored with a traditional drum ceremony at the Tokyo pier.
The vessel is now entering the final leg of its two-month journey, bringing it one step closer to its homeport in Singapore. Onboard, the crew is meticulously preparing every detail, from final rehearsals to perfecting the family experiences that will define the ship’s offerings. The team remains focused on the upcoming debut in Singapore, where the Disney Adventure is set to launch its first chapter of guest voyages.
Academy Award-winning actor and Disney Legend Robert Downey Jr. was recently named the official godparent of the Disney Adventure, the newest and largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. As part of a centuries-old maritime tradition, Downey will formally bless the vessel to bring good fortune before its maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10, 2026. This appointment is especially fitting given the ship’s heavy Marvel influence, which includes the first-ever roller coaster on a Disney ship, the Ironcycle Test Run.
