Something huge has just landed on the lawns of Alton Towers Resort, and it’s made of… baked beans?
To celebrate the upcoming launch of Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!, the resort unveiled a massive 20×15 meter portrait of Bluey in her iconic “Granny” disguise. This isn’t just any art project—it took 18 hours and exactly 11,494 cans of beans to bring this fan-favorite moment to life.
For those who aren’t caught up on their Bluey lore, the beans are a nod to the “Grannies” episode where Bluey and Bingo (as Janet and Rita) have a hilarious mishap involving a tin of beans.

Mark Your Calendars: March 28th
The giant portrait wasn’t just for show; it served as the ultimate countdown. Alton Towers has officially confirmed that the world’s first Bluey rollercoaster will open its gates on Saturday, March 28th, 2026.
Located in CBeebies Land, the new junior coaster is designed specifically for preschoolers and young families. Riders will join Janet and Rita on a gentle, playful journey through a colorful garden-themed setting filled with silly surprises.
