Hard to believe it’s been nearly a decade since Shanghai Disney Resort first opened its gates! To honor ten years of “Igniting the Dream,” the resort has officially pulled back the curtain on its milestone celebration: “With You, It’s Magic+.”
Starting March 20, 2026, the resort will transform into a year-long festival of new entertainment, shimmering décor, and exclusive experiences. Whether you’re a local fan or planning a bucket-list trip, here is your guide to everything coming for the 10th anniversary.
New Spectacles at the Enchanted Storybook Castle (Concept artwork above)
The heart of the park is getting a massive upgrade. A brand-new stage production, “The Heart of Magic,” will debut on the castle stage. This isn’t your average show—it features three new satellite stages and connecting bridges to bring the characters closer to the audience than ever before.
Highlights include:
• New Faces: Hercules makes his Shanghai debut, and Miguel (Coco) takes on his first major park role.
• A Grand Finale: The nighttime spectacular, Illuminate!, is getting a reimagined finale where Mickey Mouse appears in a new magician ensemble, alongside a special segment inspired by Disney’s Wish.
A Party on Parade
The fan-favorite Mickey’s Storybook Express is getting two high-energy additions:
1. The FriendSHIP!: A golden, ship-themed pre-parade featuring Duffy and all six of his friends in new celebratory outfits.
2. Zootopia Party: Gazelle’s concert bus is rolling into the parade route! Expect a high-octane street party with Judy, Nick, and DJ Officer Clawhauser, featuring music from Zootopia 2.
Taste the Tradition
In a beautiful nod to Chinese culture, noodle dishes will be featured across the resort’s menus to symbolize longevity and birthday blessings. The culinary team is also bringing back “fan-favorite” snacks from the last decade, so if you missed a viral treat from 2016, now is your chance to try it again!
Tech & Treasures
For the collectors, the 10th anniversary marks the largest merchandise collection in the resort’s history. * The Magic Wand: A new interactive item that lets guests “collect magic” throughout the park.
• Collectible Tickets: Starting March 20, park tickets will feature 30 different characters. Each ticket contains a puzzle piece; collect them over multiple visits to form a complete set!
Beyond the Park
The celebration doesn’t stop at the turnstiles. Disneytown will host seasonal markets and workshops, while the resort hotels will offer “hidden 10” discovery tours and in-room birthday surprises.
