Celebrating Disney’s Most Complimented Cast Members on World Compliment Day

There’s nothing quite like the magic a Cast Member brings to a Disney vacation. This World Compliment Day (March 1), Disney is officially recognizing the most-complimented team members from Disneyland and Walt Disney World. This milestone comes as the Mobile Cast Compliment feature hits a staggering three million submissions since its 2021 debut. It’s a beautiful reminder of the powerful connection between the people who visit the parks and the people who make them feel like home.

World Compliment Day offers a rare, uplifting look at the heart of the Disney Guest experience: spontaneous, authentic appreciation shared by millions of visitors. This recognition not only acknowledges extraordinary Cast but reinforces Disney’s longstanding commitment to celebrating the people who make its magic possible.

Mobile Cast Compliments Steps: 

1. Navigate to the menu button (displayed as ☰) in the My Disney Experience or Disneyland® mobile app.
2. Select “Cast Compliment.”
3. Using the drop-down menus, choose a sentiment and the location of the interaction.
4. If known, enter the Cast Member’s name and hometown (WDW) or selected Disney Character (DLR) as they appear on the nametag.
5. Enter the date of the interaction.

If the information entered is matched to a specific Cast Member, they will receive a personalized recognition, their Leader will be notified, and the compliment will be notated on their record card. Cast Members will be notified in their selected language preference when they receive a compliment via the Disney Cast Life App/Web, their Disney email, or their personal email (if the personal email notification option was previously selected).

Honestly, I love that Disney is using World Compliment Day to highlight the Cast Members who actually make the parks run. We all know the rides are great, but it’s usually a specific person—a friendly greeting at the gate or a server who went the extra mile—that makes a trip memorable.

The fact that the Mobile Cast Compliment feature has racked up over three million shout-outs since 2021 is wild. To me, that says two things:
