Buckle your seatbelts and stow your carry-on items—the flight path at EPCOT is officially changing. Disney has confirmed that Soarin’ Around the World will conclude its decade-long run on May 13, 2026, making way for an all-new domestic adventure: Soarin’ Across America.
If you’ve been missing the “amber waves of grain” or the classic scent of orange groves, your next flight is almost ready for boarding. Here is everything you need to know about the transition at The Land Pavilion.
The Flight Schedule: Key Dates
Disney is moving fast with this transformation. There will be a brief two-week closure while Imagineers prepare the hang-glider hangars for the new film.
- May 13, 2026: Final day to experience Soarin’ Around the World.
- May 14 – May 25, 2026: Attraction closed for refurbishment.
- May 26, 2026: Soarin’ Across America officially debuts.
What to Expect from the New Journey
Soarin’ Across America is debuting as part of the United States Semiquincentennial (America 250) celebrations. While Soarin’ Over California focused on a single state and Around the World took us to the Great Wall and the Eiffel Tower, this new iteration promises a “sea to shining sea” itinerary.

Confirmed Highlights:
- New Locations: Breathtaking aerial footage of the Grand Canyon has already been teased. Expect more than a dozen iconic U.S. landmarks and cityscapes.
- The Senses: It wouldn’t be Soarin’ without the smells. Disney has confirmed new scents will accompany the film (fingers crossed for some nostalgic pine or campfire!).
- The Score: A fresh orchestration of the legendary Bruce Broughton score will power the journey.
- Return of a Legend: Patrick Warburton has already been spotted in promotional material, confirming he will remain our Chief Flight Attendant.
A Summer of Openings
The May 26 debut isn’t a coincidence. It marks the kickoff of Disney’s “Cool Kids’ Summer,” a massive multi-park launch day. If you’re visiting during this time, you’ll also be able to catch the opening of Bluey’s Wild World at Animal Kingdom and the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! at Hollywood Studios.
Are you excited to see Soarin’ return to its American roots, or will you miss the global tour?
