Disney Cruise Line is continuing its unprecedented era of growth with the official naming of its next vessel: the Disney Believe. Announced by Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro during the 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, the ship is set to be the fourth installment in the line’s groundbreaking Wish class.
Scheduled to debut in late 2027, the Disney Believe joins a fleet that is rapidly expanding toward a total of 13 ships by 2031. This latest addition follows the successful launches of the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and the upcoming Disney Destiny.
A Motif of “Promise and Possibilities”
A hallmark of the Wish class is that each vessel is designed around a singular, immersive theme. While the Wish centered on enchantment, the Treasure on adventure, and the Destiny on the duality of heroes and villains, the Disney Believe will focus on the theme of “promise and possibilities.”
According to the company, the ship is intended as a tribute to the “dreamers and doers” who dare to pursue their own “happily ever after.” This motif will serve as the creative foundation for the ship’s architecture, interior design, and onboard entertainment.
Immersive Storytelling at Sea
True to the Disney Cruise Line legacy, the Disney Believe will leverage world-class storytelling and cutting-edge technology to bring beloved films to life. Passengers can expect to encounter spaces and experiences inspired by a diverse range of Disney and Pixar properties, including:
- Encanto: Bringing the vibrant, magical world of the Madrigal family to the high seas.
- Frozen: Continuing the adventures of Anna and Elsa in beautifully themed environments.
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Incorporating classic elements like the legendary wishing well into the ship’s design.
- Moana and The Little Mermaid: Harnessing the natural connection to the ocean to create immersive aquatic-themed experiences.
The ship’s announcement also hinted at the inclusion of stories from the Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar universes, ensuring that the vessel offers something for every generation of Disney fan.
The Future of the Fleet

The reveal of the Disney Believe comes at a pivotal time for Disney Experiences. The company recently celebrated the maiden voyage of the Disney Adventure from Singapore and has confirmed plans for a brand-new class of ships to begin production in 2029. Additionally, an agreement with Oriental Land Co., Ltd. will soon bring the Disney cruise experience to Japan.
As the Disney Believe prepares for its 2027 maiden voyage, it stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to evolving the vacation experience. For travelers and Disney enthusiasts alike, the ship represents a new horizon of innovation and the enduring power of believing in one’s dreams.
