Efteling has officially unveiled Missie Luminar, a massive new investment that promises to bolster the park’s thrill ride offerings. The new attraction is a suspended launch coaster, a ride type currently absent from their lineup.
According to CEO Fons Jurgens, the ride is designed to make a statement from the moment guests arrive. Situated within the “Island of the Five Senses”—the area near the main entrance that also houses the Efteling Grand Hotel and Aquanura—the coaster will be highly visible to arriving guests. The narrative centers on 19th-century scientific discovery and light-speed travel, a theme that fits perfectly with Efteling’s signature immersive storytelling. With a €50 million price tag, this is a major development in the park’s long-term expansion strategy.
It’s officially time to start counting down the days until 2029! Are you excited about a new thrill ride at Efteling?
