The new Universal Celestial Goodnight spectacular at Epic Universe is a fantastic addition that finally gives the park the nightly conclusion it deserves. It is truly refreshing to have a nighttime show at a Universal Orlando park that features large-scale, impressive fireworks, a welcome step up from the more modest pyrotechnics often found at Universal Studios Florida.
The production is a technical marvel, utilizing hundreds of new, synchronized spotlights that illuminate the entire area, creating an immersive atmosphere. One of the best design choices is how the show is staged; because it is integrated throughout the central hub, it remains highly enjoyable from virtually anywhere inside Celestial Park. You don’t have to fight for a single “perfect” view to feel like you’re part of the experience.
The show is structured as a series of thematic segments, each paying tribute to a specific land through a combination of music, synchronized lighting, and dancing fountains, all building toward a grand fireworks finale.
Show Segments

The production highlights the following worlds:
- Super Nintendo World: This segment features the high-energy, vibrant sounds and aesthetics associated with the land’s iconic characters and gaming environments, including a new Donkey Kong segment that is a lot of fun.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic: This portion highlights the enchanting and sophisticated atmosphere of the magical world, utilizing the iconic music of the franchise to evoke the wonder of wizardry.
- Dark Universe: This segment captures the mysterious and atmospheric nature of the land, utilizing the show’s lighting and fountain choreography to reflect the “shadows” and darker themes of the world. The segment features audio cues from Victora Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s Monster that add to the segment.
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: This segment leans into the “soaring spirit” of the land and is perfectly placed in the show, utilizing music and visual cues to evoke the wonder of flight and the Viking adventures found in the area.
