SeaWorld Orlando Spooktacular Returns with First-Ever Hotel Transylvania Experience

SeaWorld Orlando is bringing back Halloween Spooktacular on select dates from August 29 through November 1, 2026, and this year the family-friendly event is getting a major new addition.

For the first time, characters from Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania are joining the celebration with new entertainment, meet-and-greets, and an immersive separately ticketed breakfast experience.

Hotel Transylvania Comes to SeaWorld

The new Monster Dread & Breakfast takes over SeaFire Inn, where Drac and Mavis have transformed the restaurant into their newest vacation destination.

Guests can enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast buffet with themed dishes, meet Hotel Transylvania characters, take photos inside Drac’s vacation home, and join interactive musical moments throughout the meal.

There is also a new Hotel Transylvania Dance Party featuring Mavis and Johnny, adding even more energy to the daytime event.

This feels like a really fun fit for Spooktacular. Hotel Transylvania has exactly the right mix of Halloween theming and goofy, family-friendly humor, so it should blend naturally into an event that is designed to be festive rather than scary.

Returning Spooktacular Favorites

The rest of the park will be packed with returning Halloween activities, including:

  • A trick-or-treat trail with 12 candy stations
  • Spookley the Square Pumpkin meet-and-greet
  • Halloween mermaids
  • Pumpkin Garden and storytime
  • Spooky Bubble Trail
  • Scarecrow Halloween Dance Parade
  • Sesame Street Halloween Parade
  • Storytime with Big Bird

SeaWorld’s Teal Pumpkin Program also returns, allowing guests with food allergies to collect teal tokens at trick-or-treat stations and exchange them for allergy-friendly treats.

Costumes are welcome for both kids and adults, although guests ages 13 and older cannot wear costume masks or hoods.

New Halloween Treats

There are a few new seasonal snacks to look out for this year, including the Mummy Dog, an all-beef hot dog wrapped in pretzel dough, and Trick-or-Treat Crunch Popcorn with caramel popcorn, M&M’s, gummies, and chocolate drizzle.

Between Hotel Transylvania, trick-or-treating, Sesame Street characters, and all the daytime entertainment, Spooktacular continues to be a great option for families who want Halloween fun without the scares.

Best of all, Spooktacular is included with regular SeaWorld Orlando admission, making it easy to add the festivities into a normal park day.
