Construction has been going on for quite some time on this massive corner area in CityWalk at Universal Orlando. The area, which was previously home to several retailers, has been gutted out and will be completely rebuilt as an all-new Universal Studios Store.
The new store will feature your favorite Universal characters, including Minions and more. And if the concept artwork is accurate, we will see something Super Mario, as they do make an appearance in the concept artwork. Perhaps something similar to the Mario Cafe & Store we saw open at Universal Studios Japan?
Another interesting note on the concept artwork is the area called “Pickup”, which can be seen in the photo above with the Minions. Could this massive new store become a hub for merchandise pickup from the parks? We will have to wait and see.
Universal Orlando has not announced any official details about this massive new shop, but when they do, we will bring them to you.
