Disney Shakes Up Movie Release Dates Including ‘Black Widow’, ‘Cruella’ And More

We have yet another movie release date shake-up to report on from Disney. The latest move includes upcoming movies such as  Cruella and Marvel’s Black Widow and more.

First up, Marvel’s Black Widow will be released on both on Disney+ with Premier Access (normally $30) as well as movie theaters on July 9. The same goes for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Cruella, starring Emma Stone, which will has a release date of May 28, again, also on both Disney+ with Premier Access and theatrical release.

Although no Disney+ news was announced, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings got pushed back to September 3, 2021, originally July 9, 2021.

Disney also announced that the upcoming Pixar movie Lucca will be released direct-to Disney+, no Premier Access required, similar to what they did for Soul back on Christmas Day.

Here are other various release date changes that Disney also announced:

  • Free Guy on August 13, 2021 (changed from: May 21, 2021)
  • The King’s Man on December 22, 2021 (changed from August 20, 2021)
  • Deep Water on January 14, 2022 (changed from August 13, 2021)
  • Death on the Nile on February 11, 2022 (changed from September 17, 2021)
