Universal Orlando Resort made it official today that Shrek 4D will be closing for good on January 10, 2022.
The attraction itSelf will be closing along with the attached gift shop that the show exits into. The Shrek and Donkey meet and greet will not be closing at the time of the attraction and will remain open.
Shrek 4D opened at Universal Studios Florida on June 12, 2003. There are still operating versions of the show at Universal Studios Japan and Singapore.
Universal Orlando also announced that Revenge of the Mummy will be closed for a lengthy refurbishment beginning January 7, 2022, and will extend into the summer.
