The Magic is Back for International Guests at Disney Parks

Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts have opened up their magical gates for international guests after what seems like forever!  Travelers from around the world are now able to visit U.S. parks because of the borders finally being opened.  Cast members are eager to welcome international guests back with warm smiles after what seems like forever.  For years the parks have brought such a sense of joy, and guests will be able to experience that joy once again just in time for the holidays and WDW’s 50th anniversary.

 

Disney posted a warm welcome video (seen above) that happily welcomes these guests back.  Guests will feel the Disney magic and will be able to have the new experiences Disney has to offer.  Whether guests are attending the 50th-anniversary celebration at WDW or experiencing the new adventures at Disneyland Resort, there is enough fun for all this holiday season.  Below we’ll share what’s going on at the parks!

Walt Disney World

  • Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th-anniversary celebration has been celebrated throughout all of its parks, and more.  It launched October 1, 2021, and will run for 18 months.  This once-in-a-lifetime event allows guests to discover new attractions, entertainment, magnificent Beacons of Magic, special 50th-anniversary offerings, special food and beverages, and more!

  • During the 50th celebration, the holidays are also happening at Walt Disney World Resort.
  • Festive entertainment, bright décor, seasonal foods and drinks, and holiday-themed merchandise will be offered all season, beginning November 12th.
  • Magic Kingdom offers “Disney Enchantment”, a fireworks show with memorable Disney music, lighting, and immersive projection effects that extend from Cinderella’s Castle down Main Street, U.S.A.
  • EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular “Harmonious”, located on the World Showcase Lagoon, which celebrates how Disney music can inspire and unite people from around the world. The show features fireworks, floating set pieces, lights, lasers, choreographed fountains, and more.

  • Guests will also be able to ride the new family-friendly attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, based on Disney and Pixar’s film “Ratatouille”.  This is a fun 4D experience for the whole family and is located in the newly expanded France pavilion.

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park now offers “Disney KiteTails”, where performers fly windcatchers and kites of various shapes and sizes, such as Simba!

Disneyland Resort

Off in Disneyland on the west coast, Disney magic is waiting to be discovered at the Disneyland Resort.  Experience the festivities of fun at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure park, and have a magical stay at the Disneyland Resort hotels.

  • Visit the brand new immersive Avengers Campus, where you’re invited to team up with the Avengers and their allies to be the hero you’ve always wanted to be!
  •  Check out the Pym Test Kitchen where Ant-Man and The Wasp check in on experiments.
  • Come see Iron Man, Spider-Man, General Okoye and the Dora Milaje, Doctor Strange, and more!

  • Disney California Adventure park offers The Incredicoaster- Disneyland’s fastest attraction where you join Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, Violet, Dash, and Edna Mode as they try to catch Jack-Jack.
  • Explore Pixar Pier to visit some other memorable Pixar pals!

  • At Disneyland Park, guests can visit Batuu, an immersive Star Wars galactic outpost, which can also be found at WDW’s Hollywood Studios.
  • Join in on the fun with the Resistance in a battle against the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
  • Pilot the Millennium Falcon in Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

This holiday season at Disneyland Resort is going to be one of the most magical yet as it transforms for the holidays from Nov. 12-January 9!

At Disneyland Park:

  • Experience the gorgeous Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle
  • A 60 foot Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A.
  • “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, featuring Disney Characters joining Sant Claus for a musical celebration.
  • The “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular.
  • Snowfall over parts of Main Street, U.S.A.
  • The seasonal transformation of the “it’s a small world” Holiday, and the 20th installation of Haunted Mansion Holiday.

For the holidays at Disney California Adventure park:

  • Create magical memories during the Disney Festival of Holidays, which includes eight festival Food Marketplaces.
  • “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” featuring Disney characters hosting a street party Mexican Folklorico dancers and Mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, mojiganga puppets, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed up.
  •  A celebration of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new musical comedy, “Encanto”, with special appearances by Mirabel and live entertainment.

There are so many magical memories to make, and new experiences to discover a Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, and the parks cannot wait to see everyone from around the world!
