Disney announced several characters returning today to several of its parks, and one of the announcements was the return of Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Star Wars Launch Bay returns July 17! A celebration of the legendary space saga, Star Wars Launch Bay is your place for a warm embrace with Chewbacca, a face-to-droid encounter with BB-8 or a run-in with Darth Vader himself for those brave enough.
There was discussion that Star Wars Launch Bay was going to be the home of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand once it reopened, but that does not seem to be the case, at least yet. Both of these characters recently made their debut inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. There is speculation that Disney World will not let these characters be shown inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios due to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser timeline. We will keep you updated about any changes that are officially announced.
