Watch Disney Park Icons Holiday Overlay
For the 50th Anniversary celebration, select theme park icons have transformed into Beacons of Magic, and for the holiday season, each park will celebrate with a rotation of unique holiday-themed displays, catering to the aesthetic of each park.
Santa Claus
Santa Claus seems to be everywhere this year! First, you can watch him cruising down Hollywood Boulevard in his red convertible at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade and across the Discovery River on a festive flotilla at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. He will also make some visits to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney Springs, where guests may have individual time to take photos. At EPCOT, Santa Claus will join select storytellers as a part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth beginning Nov. 25
Festive Entertainment
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom hosts the return of a Merry Menagerie featuring winter animals as life-size, artisan-sculpted puppets.
- “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will add a festive finale, featuring Olaf, and special songs of the season.
- At Disney Springs, Town Center will experience a spectacular snowfall at different times of the night.
- EPCOT will celebrate the return of “Candlelight Processional” during EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays beginning Nov. 25 at American Gardens Theatre.
- This season, there will be a mash-up of seasonal songs at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. We are awaiting more details for the song list!
- There will be new holiday-themed Magic Shots at all four Walt Disney World theme parks, a new Disney PhotoPass Lens and virtual backdrops at the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs.
Seasonal Flavors
- The Holiday Cookie Stroll will return to EPCOT this year, where guests can go on a scavenger hunt during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The festival also showcases menus of traditional and creative versions of holiday dishes from around the world.
- At Disney Springs, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will become Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar and features festive food and craft cocktails.
Holiday Décor
From sparkling Christmas trees and shiny ornaments to tinsel and wreaths galore, each of the Walt Disney World theme park’s personality will shine bright during the holidays with decorations themed to each park’s theming. Over at Disney Springs, the Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth, is a wonderful time for the whole family, with brilliantly decorated Christmas trees that draw inspiration from Disney characters, movies, and attractions. Last but not least, at the resorts across Walt Disney World, guests can watch magnificent artisan-made gingerbread houses displayed at select resorts.
Gift Giving
There will be new holiday collections at select shopping locations across Walt Disney World, including Disney Springs. Once those selections are announced, we will be sure to post them as quickly as we can!
