This weekend guests will finish their day at Carowinds with the unforgettable sights and sounds of the Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. Each evening on Saturday, July 2, on Sunday, July 3, and on Monday, July 4, at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET, Carowinds will begin its pyrotechnic salute to America, featuring a barrage of dazzling shells and colors that will captivate guests and will be live-streamed on the Carowinds’ TikTok account (carowindspark).

Guests are invited to turn their heads to the sky for the presentation of the Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. Carowinds is proud to share this longstanding fireworks tradition to come together on the state line to celebrate the Fourth of July.

This will be the second firework display on these nights as Grand Carnivale concludes nightly at 9:15 p.m. ET with a “kiss goodnight” fireworks display. Carowinds’ Grand Carnivale is a one-of-a-kind immersive international celebration and runs through Sunday, July 10.

The 10-minute spectacle is synchronized to a rousing patriotic musical score and will feature a host of shells and effects in different colors and shapes. Five shell sizes ranging from 2.5 inches to six inches will delight guests with a high-flying multi-sensory experience.

This year’s design will launch with more than 400 shells, launched from approximately 60 racks positioned behind Hurler, Carowinds’ wooden roller coaster. The Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular will showcase multiple effects that bring more pyrotechnic firepower to the festivities spanning across the nation’s only amusement park that straddles two states. The fireworks display is visible throughout the 400-acre park; however, suggested guest viewing locations are Carolina Boardwalk, County Fair, and Celebration Plaza.

The Thrill Zone-area and surrounding attractions will close at 9:00 p.m. ET so the area can be safely prepared for the Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular.
