“Terminator 2: 3D” and “Backdraft” Permanently Close at Universal Studios Japan

Universal Studios Japan announced today that on top of their Spider-Man attraction closing, their “Terminator 2: 3D” and “Backdraft” attractions are also permanently closed. Both attractions closed in 2020 due to the pandemic and never reopened.

Official statement from Universal Studios Japan:

‘In striving to infinitely evolve and grow by creating NO LIMIT! entertainment that amazes visitors, Universal Studios Japan will be renewing multiple attractions to offer new thrills at the park. “Terminator 2: 3D” has been closed since September 14th of 2020, and “Backdraft” also will cease operating. These attractions have been a wonderful part of the park, thrilling and entertaining guests for many years.’
