As the “Tokyo Disney Resort 40th ‘Dream-Go-Round’” anniversary festivities continue at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, guests will be able to enjoy the special event “Disney Halloween” at Tokyo Disney Resort from September 15 through October 31. The Disney hotels, Disney Resort Line, and Ikspiari will also offer programs themed to Halloween, creating a delightfully thrilling fun, and exciting atmosphere unique to this time of the year.

At Tokyo Disneyland, Halloween ghosts invite Mickey Mouse, Disney friends, and guests into a world of delightfully thrilling fun in the “Spooky ‘Boo!’ Parade.” For the first time in four years, the floats will make stops along the parade route during the performance. Guests will be able to join these friendly spirits, as they dance along with Mickey Mouse and his friends. In addition, Main Street at World Bazaar and the area around Cinderella Castle, currently decorated with colorful “Dream Garlands” for the 40th-anniversary event, will feature pumpkin and ghost decorations.

From September 14, 2023, through January 8, 2024, the Fantasyland attraction Haunted Mansion will undergo a seasonal transformation and become the Haunted Mansion “Holiday Nightmare” based on Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas film.

At Tokyo Disneyland, popular menu items themed to Halloween will be available from September 1. At Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon, guests can enjoy Maple-Pumpkin Churros. These bright orange churros are full of pumpkin flavor and will be served in a special sleeve. There will be a total of ten different sleeve designs, each featuring Mickey Mouse or one of his friends in a Halloween outfit. Guests can look forward to seeing which sleeve they will receive upon purchase. Also on offer for the first time will be Halloween sundaes served with pumpkin soft serve and a Maple-Pumpkin Churro. Guests can enjoy Mickey-shaped waffles served with chestnut-flavored whipped cream, granola, and maple syrup at the Great American Waffle Co., ideal for the autumn season.

Halloween decorations will adorn the Parks, which will be combined with decor recognizing the Tokyo Disney Resort 40th anniversary celebrations featuring the Dream Garlands. Main Street at World Bazaar will feature a photo spot inspired by Mickey Mouse with pumpkin elements. The area in front of Cinderella Castle will be adorned with decorations depicting the Halloween ghosts having lots of fun. Toontown will also feature Halloween decorations with pumpkin and ghost designs, immersing guests in the world of “Disney Halloween.”

Over at Tokyo DisneySea, Mickey Mouse and his friends will appear in outfits inspired by pumpkins and Halloween snacks, and enjoy the festivities with guests in the “Disney Halloween Greeting.” Around Waterfront Park at American Waterfront, the “Halloween Fair in New York” will be presented for the first time, providing a variety of devilish delights which change from day to night. During the daytime, guests will be able to receive candy by saying “Trick or treat!” to cast members. Guests in costumes can also experience the Halloween fair together with cast members. At night, effects and lights will enhance the eerie Halloween atmosphere even more.

For the first time, Tokyo DisneySea will present the “Halloween Fair in New York” in the New York area of the American Waterfront. During the daytime, guests can experience a frighteningly fun Halloween fair. When the sun goes down, the fair will take on a mysterious and spooky air, allowing guests to enjoy a Halloween atmosphere that differs from day to night.

A new daytime program will take place at Waterfront Park. In this program, cast members – fascinated by the bustling New York Halloween – will interact with guests by helping them take photos, asking them about their outfits, and more. Additionally, if guests say “Trick or Treat!” to cast members sporting special costumes, they will receive candy. Through the cast members’ fun interactions with guests in the New York area, the Halloween fair will become even more lively.

Halloween-themed decorations will adorn the New York area of American Waterfront, further enhancing the Halloween fair. Waterfront Park – enveloped in a wickedly fun Halloween ambiance – will feature decorations depicting Mickey Mouse, his Disney friends, and pumpkins. At night, guests can enjoy a dramatically different ambiance; and the decorations at Waterfront Park will glow mysteriously as smoke fills the air.

Additionally, both Parks will invite guests of all ages to dress up as Disney Characters on any day during this special event period. The Disney hotels, Disney Resort Line, and Ikspiari will also be offering exciting programs during the event period, creating lots of festive fun throughout Tokyo Disney Resort this Halloween.

Special merchandise unique to “Disney Halloween” will be available at both Parks from September 14. In addition to merchandise depicting Mickey Mouse and his friends enjoying Halloween, there will also be items featuring Mickey Mouse sporting memorable outfits from past Halloween events as a part of the 40th-anniversary celebration, as well as ghosts enjoying the Park. Other Halloween-themed items will also be offered, such as headbands inspired by Maleficent.
