Opening Date for Epcot’s Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya Japan Pavilion Restaurant Announced

Epcot’s Japan pavilion will soon be home to Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya restaurant which will serve guests Japanese cuisine alongside views of Epcot (including fireworks)! 

The restaurant’s official opening date is August 30th, and the first reservations for the restaurant can now be made using the MyDisneyExperience app or website. 

This restaurant will serve both lunch and dinner and will feature a sushi bar with items including Kobore Sushi (negi toro, nakaochi tuna, salmon roe, and green onion), Tokyo Negi Roll (green onion tempura, tuna tataki, jalapeno aioli, shredded carrot, and sliced jalapeno), and Funamori (sashimi and sushi) served on a boat-shaped platter. 

In addition to the restaurant’s sushi bar, the restaurant will have a grill area for serving up some popular dishes including the savory Japanese pancake, Okonomiyaki. 

What makes this restaurant unique from the others in the pavilion is that it will serve guests dishes inspired by flavors of the different seasons. And, guests can watch their sushi being made which is both a fun and engaging experience for sushi lovers or those who may be new to the sushi world.

In addition to its delicious food, this restaurant will offer a variety of specialty cocktails along with a variety of Sake including Bushido and House Sake to name a couple of the many offerings.

Plus, this restaurant will immerse guests in the various festivals of Japan with artwork and lanterns around the dining room.
