Royal Caribbean is gearing up for one of its biggest vacation seasons yet. The cruise line has announced a bold slate of 2027–28 itineraries sailing from Texas, California, and the Northeast, headlined by the record-breaking Icon of the Seas making its Galveston debut in August 2027.
The new collection of adventures offers 4 to 12 night itineraries on nine ships beginning April 2027. Travelers can explore the Caribbean, Mexico, Bermuda, Canada, and New England while also enjoying Royal Caribbean’s expanding portfolio of beach club destinations, including Royal Beach Club Paradise Island opening December 2025 and Royal Beach Club Cozumel debuting in 2026.
Big Adventures from Texas
Icon of the Seas — Galveston: For the first time ever, Icon of the Seas will sail from Galveston beginning August 2027. The ship will offer 6 to 8 night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings to fan-favorite ports including Perfect Day at CocoCay, Roatan, and Cozumel. Guests can experience everything Icon is known for: Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, seven pools, immersive neighborhoods for every age, and more than 40 dining and beverage venues.
Liberty of the Seas — Galveston: Starting April 2027, Liberty of the Seas will offer 4 to 8 night Caribbean itineraries following a major 2026 amplification. Guests can expect a redesigned pool deck with The Lime & Coconut, brand-new casitas, an expanded Royal Escape Room, and sailings to Costa Maya, Roatan, and additional Western Caribbean locales.
Symphony of the Seas — Galveston: Symphony of the Seas will homeport in Texas for the first time in 2027, delivering 4 to 8 night adventures to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Nassau, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. The ship features more than 30 dining and bar venues, The Ultimate Abyss slide, and Broadway-style entertainment.
California Coastline Getaways
Ovation of the Seas — Los Angeles: Guests can sail short 3 and 4 night trips to Ensenada and Catalina Island on the newly amplified Ovation of the Seas. Highlights include the North Star observation capsule, bumper cars at SeaPlex, the new Pesky Parrot tiki bar, Sound Cellar, expanded Casino Royale, and dining staples such as Sorrento’s and Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen.
Navigator of the Seas — Los Angeles: Fresh from a season abroad, Navigator brings back 7 night Mexican Riviera adventures with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta. The ship features Chops Grille, Hooked Seafood, El Loco Fresh, the FlowRider, and scenic pool deck views.
Northeast Voyages
Oasis of the Seas — Cape Liberty: Starting May 2027, Oasis of the Seas will offer 7 night sailings to Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay. Guests can enjoy more than 30 dining and lounge options including Spotlight Karaoke, Boleros, and Coastal Kitchen.
Odyssey of the Seas — Cape Liberty: Odyssey will embark on 7 to 12 night Caribbean vacations beginning November 2027, visiting St. Kitts, Barbados, St. Lucia, and more. Onboard highlights include Music Hall, Two70 entertainment venue, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, and El Loco Fresh.
Independence of the Seas — Cape Liberty: Independence will feature 4 to 9 night trips to Bermuda, New England, Canada, and the Eastern Caribbean. Travelers can explore Halifax, Portland, Grand Turk, and Willemstad. Ship favorites include Splashaway Bay, FlowRider, Izumi, and Chops Grille.
Vision of the Seas — Baltimore: Vision of the Seas will sail 5 and 9 night itineraries to Bimini, Bermuda, Halifax, and Saint John with classic Royal Caribbean offerings like Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, Izumi, Vitality Spa, and Broadway Rhythm and Rhyme.

Travelers can learn more about Royal Caribbean’s 2027–28 lineup on the cruise line’s website. Crown & Anchor Society members can book now ahead of the general opening on November 13.
