Summer nights are about to get a major upgrade at SeaWorld Orlando.
SeaWorld has officially announced its biggest-ever lineup for Electric Ocean, returning June 12 with new nighttime animal presentations, a drone spectacular, dance parties, cirque entertainment, and the return of the park’s signature Ignite fireworks show.
Nighttime Animal Shows Are Back
One of the biggest additions this year is the return of nighttime animal presentations, something longtime SeaWorld fans have been asking to see again.
The lineup includes:
- Shamu Celebration: Light Up The Night featuring music, lighting, and choreography around the park’s orcas
- Sea Lions Tonite, returning with updated comedy and new surprises
- Dolphins: Touch the Sky, blending storytelling, music, and dolphin interactions
It’s honestly nice to see SeaWorld leaning back into nighttime animal experiences. There’s always been something different about seeing these presentations after dark with the lighting, music, and atmosphere layered in.
A New Drone Show Takes Over the Sky
SeaWorld is also debuting an all-new drone spectacular, using hundreds of synchronized drones to create glowing sea creatures, waves, and ocean-inspired visuals in the night sky.
Drone shows are becoming a bigger trend across theme parks lately, but combining them with SeaWorld’s lagoon setting could make this one especially impressive visually.
Ignite Fireworks Returns
Closing out the night is the return of Ignite, SeaWorld’s nighttime fireworks spectacular.
This year’s version adds enhanced lighting, fountains, and music, turning the park’s central lake into a full 360-degree nighttime show experience.
Between the drones and fireworks together, this sounds like one of the strongest nighttime entertainment lineups SeaWorld has put together in years.
Club SeaGlow and Hydro Surge Add More Energy
Electric Ocean also brings back Club SeaGlow, the park’s family-friendly DJ dance party at Bayside Stadium featuring music, dancers, and glowing nighttime atmosphere throughout the evening.
Meanwhile, the indoor Nautilus Theater will host Hydro Surge, a new cirque-style production combining acrobatics, dancers, percussion, and industrial-inspired visuals.
Expedition Odyssey Also Opening This Summer
In addition to Electric Ocean, SeaWorld confirmed that Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice will officially debut this summer as well.
The new attraction combines immersive storytelling with Arctic exploration themes and live animal encounters featuring belugas and walruses.
That addition, paired with Electric Ocean, gives SeaWorld a pretty packed summer lineup overall.
SeaWorld Leaning Hard Into Summer Entertainment
This feels like SeaWorld making a major push to elevate the full-day experience rather than just focusing on rides alone.
Between nighttime entertainment, new shows, drones, fireworks, and new attractions, there’s clearly a bigger emphasis on keeping guests in the park well into the evening.
And honestly, summer nights at SeaWorld can be underrated when the park fully commits to atmosphere and entertainment like this.
