Exciting progress is underway at Shanghai Disney Resort as the park officially hits a significant construction milestone for its highly anticipated, Spider-Man-themed expansion.
Shanghai Disney recently announced that the final piece of track has been installed for the resort’s upcoming high-speed roller coaster. With the track now complete, the project moves into its next phase, which will eventually include ride vehicle testing and final preparations for the attraction’s debut.
This development is particularly notable as it marks Shanghai Disney’s first-ever Marvel attraction. First announced at the D23 Expo in August 2024, the coaster is designed to be a high-energy, immersive experience that puts guests right in the center of the action with the web-slinger.
The design of the coaster is already drawing attention for its thematic detail, featuring a vibrant red track that pays homage to Spider-Man’s iconic suit.
The speed of this project has been remarkable. After the land’s groundbreaking in May 2025, the team has managed to complete the structural track installation in roughly one year.
