In a landmark achievement that few entertainment destinations in the world ever reach, the Disneyland Resort has officially welcomed its one-billionth guest. This historic milestone comes as the resort continues its 70th-anniversary celebration, marking over seven decades of storytelling, innovation, and “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
The honor of being named the honorary one-billionth guest went to eight-year-old Andres Robles, who was visiting the park from Arizona with his parents, Alejandra and Jose, to celebrate his birthday. What began as a routine family trip quickly transformed into a moment of Disney history.

To commemorate the occasion, the Robles family was treated to a surprise ceremony at the Main Street, U.S.A. train station platform. Alongside Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, the family unveiled an iconic update to the park’s entrance signage, which now proudly displays: “Population 1,000,000,000.”
“Welcoming our one-billionth guest is a remarkable milestone for Disneyland Resort and a testament to the generations of guests who have made this special place part of their lives,” said Jill Estorino, President of Disneyland Resort. “For more than 70 years, Walt’s original park has been a timeless symbol of Disney storytelling, where memories are made and shared, and we are honored to carry that legacy forward for guests today and for generations to come.”
A VIP Experience
Following the ceremony, the Robles family enjoyed a curated VIP experience that included:
- An exclusive tour: A rare, behind-the-scenes look at Walt Disney’s private apartment above the Main Street Fire Station.
- Attraction previews: Priority access to the newly opened Soarin’ Across America attraction.
- Special commemorations: A day filled with bespoke experiences tailored to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime achievement.
