A major new detail has been revealed for the highly anticipated The Lion King-themed attraction coming to Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris — and it involves one of Disney’s most iconic villains.
Disneyland Paris has announced that the attraction will feature the first-ever Audio-Animatronic figure of Scar. The villain will play a key role in a new scene inspired by the climax of the 1994 Walt Disney Animation Studios classic. New concept art unveiled during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event gives guests a first look at the confrontation between Scar and Simba.
The reveal of Scar is one of the most exciting updates yet for the upcoming attraction. While guests have experienced Disney attractions featuring many versions of The Lion King characters over the years, this will mark the first time Scar has been brought to life as an Audio-Animatronics figure.
Scar won’t be the only character brought to life aboard the attraction. Disney says the water-based adventure will also feature Audio-Animatronics figures of Simba, Timon and Pumbaa, alongside other characters, as guests travel through memorable moments from The Lion King.
With construction continuing and the new world taking shape at Disney Adventure World, more details about the project are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
