Halloween Horror Nights is officially invading Fortnite.
One of Halloween Horror Nights’ most recognizable icons, Jack the Clown, is making the jump from the fog-filled streets of Universal Studios to the world of Fortnite as part of Fortnitemares 2026.
The crossover brings together two of the biggest names in Halloween entertainment, giving Fortnite players the chance to experience a little bit of Halloween Horror Nights inside the popular battle royale game.
Jack the Clown Enters the Fortnite Universe
Jack the Clown has been a central figure in Halloween Horror Nights since his debut at Universal Orlando in 2000. Over the years, he has become one of the most recognizable original characters in the event’s history, appearing in haunted houses, scare zones, shows and merchandise.
This year, Jack is already playing a major role in Halloween Horror Nights 35, where he serves as one of the event’s two ringmasters alongside his longtime rival, Dr. Oddfellow.
Now, Jack is taking his act beyond the gates of the theme parks.
In Fortnite, Jack receives a new look that translates his familiar Halloween Horror Nights appearance into the game’s distinctive visual style. His Fortnite outfit features his signature colorful clown aesthetic, including his orange hair and recognizable clown-inspired costume.
And Jack won’t be making the trip alone.
HamiKuma Joins Jack
The crossover also introduces HamiKuma, another fan-favorite Halloween Horror Nights character, to Fortnite.
HamiKuma originally debuted at Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween Horror Nights in 2022 and has since become a popular character among Horror Nights fans.
The Fortnite version of HamiKuma keeps the character’s unsettling candy-filled appearance while adapting it for the game.
Together, Jack and HamiKuma represent Halloween Horror Nights in Fortnite, bringing Universal’s original horror characters into a game already packed with some of the biggest names in the genre.
From Halloween Horror Nights to Fortnitemares
The crossover is particularly fitting this year because Fortnite has already become part of Halloween Horror Nights.
At Universal Studios Florida, Fortnitemares is one of the scare zones featured during Halloween Horror Nights 35. Guests enter a Halloween-inspired version of the Fortnite universe known as Freaky Fields, complete with the Battle Bus and familiar Fortnitemares characters.
Universal has also incorporated additional Fortnite elements and characters into the experience, creating a unique crossover between the game and the Halloween event.
Now, that crossover is going in the opposite direction.
Instead of Fortnite coming to Halloween Horror Nights, Halloween Horror Nights is coming to Fortnite.
When Can You Get Jack the Clown?
Jack the Clown and HamiKuma were revealed as part of the Fortnitemares 2026 update on October 1.
The Halloween Horror Nights bundle is expected to arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop on October 5, with the crossover expected to include additional cosmetic items such as a back bling and pickaxe.
Epic Games has also confirmed that Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights outfits and accessories will be released throughout October as part of the larger Fortnitemares celebration.
That means fans of both Fortnite and Halloween Horror Nights have another reason to jump into the game this Halloween season.
