Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is getting festive. Starting November 25, the EPCOT coaster will swap part of its usual rock-and-pop soundtrack for a set of holiday songs, which means you can save the galaxy and feel merry at the same time. Disney’s announcement gives the end date for the holiday tunes as January 6, 2027.
Here is the part some of us have been waiting for. If you have ridden during past holiday seasons and found yourself wishing for a different tune, the new lineup does not include “Run Rocket Run.” For anyone who has heard that one a few too many times, this is welcome news.
The Holiday Tracks
The three seasonal songs are shuffled, so each ride can sound a little different:
- “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams
- “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
- “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses
The mix runs from a classic crooner to a dramatic instrumental-rock favorite to a quirky new-wave holiday tune, which should give the coaster a very different feel from ride to ride.
The coaster’s new playlist is one more reason to visit EPCOT during the season. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs from November 27 through December 30, bringing global holiday traditions to the park.
