Disney Legends 2026: Honoring the Icons Behind the Magic
Disney has officially unveiled the 2026 class of Disney Legends, the company’s highest honor reserved for those who have pushed the boundaries of creativity and innovation. The ceremony will serve as the grand finale of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on August 16, 2026, at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
A Legacy of Excellence
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the event will be a star-studded tribute to the visionaries who have shaped Disney’s global impact. For fans unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be available to stream on Disney+.
“It’s an honor to celebrate our Disney Legends,” said Josh D’Amaro, CEO of Disney Experiences. “Their impact is felt in everything we do, and recognizing them alongside the fans who love their work is what makes this event so meaningful.”
The 2026 Honorees
This year’s inductees represent a diverse spectrum of talent, from executive leadership and Imagineering to iconic on-screen performances:

Bob Iger: Former Chairman and CEO recognized for two decades of transformative leadership.

Entertainment Icons: Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, Susan Egan, and Alan Tudyk.

Musical Visionaries: Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Jonas Brothers.

Creative Masters: Legendary animator Eric Goldberg, prolific producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and Imagineering leader Kim Irvine.

Sports & Media: ESPN pioneer Chris Berman.
A 39-Year Tradition
Since its inception in 1987, the Disney Legends program has honored 329 individuals who have left an indelible mark on the company’s history. The 2026 class joins an elite roster of past legends, including Julie Andrews, Robert Downey Jr., and Steve Jobs.
