New Details Revealed for Encanto Attraction and Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney has shared a closer look at Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, the new family-friendly attraction coming to the Tropical Americas area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The attraction will invite guests into Casita to celebrate Antonio’s gift, his ability to communicate with animals, while expanding the world of Encanto beyond what audiences saw in the film.

One important detail for families is that there will be no height requirement, making this one of the more accessible new attractions planned for the land.

Inside Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto

Guests will enter Casita and board ride vehicles designed to look like pieces of furniture brought together by the magical house itself.

The vehicles are meant to feel lively and responsive, almost like characters of their own, as they move through different rooms in the Madrigal home.

The attraction will eventually take guests upstairs into Antonio’s rainforest-inspired room, where more than 50 animals will be represented throughout the experience. Disney shared early looks at several of them, including a capybara getting a haircut, a toucan, and a donkey.

Disney Imagineering also worked with the company’s Animals, Science and Environment team to make sure the animals represented in the attraction are accurate to Colombia.

Voice actors Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow, and Diane Guerrero will return as Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabela.

More Coming to Tropical Americas

Disney also revealed the official name of the land’s new carousel, El Carrusel de los Animalitos.

The attraction will feature 22 hand-carved animal figures inspired by Disney and Pixar stories and is designed as an Animal Kingdom-specific take on the traditional carousel.

Tropical Americas will also include:

  • Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent
  • A large hacienda that will become one of Walt Disney World’s largest quick-service restaurants
  • Shopping locations
  • A Maya-inspired play area with hands-on exploration

The Encanto attraction sounds especially promising because Disney is not simply recreating scenes from the movie. Expanding Casita with rooms and experiences we have never seen before gives Imagineering more freedom to make the attraction feel like a new chapter in the Madrigal family’s story.

With a no-height-requirement ride, detailed environments, returning voice talent, and a strong focus on animals and Colombian inspiration, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto feels like a natural fit for Animal Kingdom.
