A major expansion is coming to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi as Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences have officially announced plans to introduce three immersive lands inspired by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The new expansion will bring Diagon Alley, Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, significantly expanding the indoor theme park’s collection of immersive worlds and attractions. Construction on the new lands is currently targeted for completion in 2029.

Together, the three Harry Potter-themed lands will spanĀ aboutĀ 63,000 square meters, or more than 678,000 square feet, making the project one of the most significant additions in Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi’s history.

According to the announcement, the expansion will feature world-exclusive Harry Potter-themed rides created specifically for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. Additional details about the attractions and experiences have not yet been revealed, but the new lands are expected to immerse guests in some of the Wizarding World’s most recognizable locations.

The Harry Potter expansion is part of a much larger transformation planned for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The park is also preparing to add two previously announced DC attractions, Kryptonite Collider and Superman Up and Away.

Once the full expansion is complete, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will increase its overall size by more than 50 percent, adding approximately 70,000 square meters, or more than 753,000 square feet, of new theme park space.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi currently features six themed lands inspired by some of Warner Bros.’ most recognizable franchises and characters. Adding three Harry Potter-themed areas marks the park’s next major evolution and further expands Yas Island’s growing lineup of major entertainment destinations.

The announcement also marks a significant milestone for the Wizarding World in the global theme park industry. While Harry Potter-themed attractions have become some of the most popular experiences at Universal destinations around the world, the new lands at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi are expected to introduce an entirely new interpretation of the franchise, including attractions designed exclusively for the destination.

With Diagon Alley, Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest all planned as part of the project, the expansion has the potential to become one of the world’s largest and most ambitious Harry Potter-themed developments.

More details about the new lands, including the attractions, dining, shopping and additional experiences planned for each area, are expected to be announced as construction progresses toward the project’s targeted 2029 completion.
