There will be more ways to play in 2024 as Kings Island expands its award-winning kids’ area with the addition of a new adventure play space, Camp Snoopy, featuring the park’s newest roller coaster, Snoopy’s SoapBoxRacers. It will be the amusement park’s first family boomerang coaster, that races riders both forward and backward on the same track. With the addition of Snoopy’s SoapBox Racers, Kings Island will become the Kids Coaster Capital of the World, offering five different coaster experiences for future thrillseekers.

Box Racers takes the classic fun of a soapbox racing derby to a whole new level as both parents and kids climb aboard their favorite Peanuts-decorated soapbox coaster car and are hoisted up a 70-foot hilltop at the starting line. As Snoopy waves the checkered flag, riders will be released and launched forward onto a track full of exhilarating twists and turns, passing the camp lookout station, and racing toward the finish lineup ahead. And, just as they think they are about to cross it, the entire train of soapbox cars will roll backward, traversing the same course, now in reverse!

In addition to the new coaster, kids of all ages will have a chance to become full-fledged members of the Beagle Scoutsat Camp Snoopy. Beagle Scout Acres, the official headquarters of the troop, will provide more outdoor summer camp fun and activities. In this new shaded, nature-themed play area, kids and their families will be able to explore and play on their own among turfed mounds and grassy areas, filled with camping equipment to play in, climb over, and through. Parents can sit back and relax and enjoy a snack while the kids take part in hosted ‘Camptivities’ led by the Peanuts gang throughout the day. Eager Beagle Scouts can also work to earn merit badges for sharing, working together, trying new things, and helping someone in need.
