Disney Grants Wish for Future Coaster Engineer

As an 11-year-old Make-A-Wish kid and roller coaster enthusiast, Ross’s biggest wish was to meet Disney Imagineers, learn how they design attractions, and ride roller coasters at the Disneyland Resort for the first time, especially the Incredicoaster.

“I want to know everything about it because it’s my dream to be an Imagineer when I grow up,” shared Ross when making his wish.

Now in remission after battling leukemia, Ross, along with his parents and 8-year-old sister Samara, traveled from New York to experience a two-day wish that included an exclusive tour of the Walt Disney Imagineering campus in Glendale, CA, and a full day at Disneyland Resort. Along for the ride was Tracey Noce, the Creative Director of the Incredicoaster, Ross’s favorite attraction, and a cancer survivor herself. Ross showed Tracey his rich knowledge during the Imagineering tour, naming practically every coaster shown to him and asking brilliant questions about the design of models he came across.

While in the parks, Ross, Tracey, and Ross’s family had an entire Incredicoaster track to themselves and rode together four consecutive times, with Ross running back and forth to experience the attraction from the front row and the back row. Ross was also able to go behind the scenes at Indiana Jones and learn how the ride vehicles operate, what maintenance is like, and experience the attraction himself.
