Disney just took over the North Javits Center for their 2026 Upfront presentation, and to say it was “star-studded” would be an understatement. With Josh D’Amaro making his debut as CEO, the company laid out a massive roadmap for the next two years, proving that their grip on entertainment, sports, and streaming is stronger than ever.
From Star Wars release dates to a surprise Scrubs update, here is everything you missed from the presentation.
1. Big Moves for Disney+ and the Big Screen

Disney leaned heavily into its powerhouse franchises—Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar—to show off what’s coming to our screens soon.
- Avatar: Fire and Ash: Mark your calendars—Sigourney Weaver announced that the next chapter of the Avatar saga officially hits Disney+ on June 24, 2026.
- Marvel’s VisionQuest: Robert Downey Jr. and Paul Bettany took the stage to announce that VisionQuest (the finale of the WandaVision trilogy) will premiere on October 14, 2026.
- Ahsoka Season 2: Rosario Dawson confirmed that production has wrapped on the second season, promising a “bigger and more expansive” story arriving in early 2027.
- The Academy Awards: In a “just in” moment, it was revealed that Conan O’Brien will return for a three-peat as the host of the 99th Academy Awards.
2. The Return of Fan Favorites

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night came from Springfield. The Simpsons introduced Zach Braff and Donald Faison to celebrate the massive success of the Scrubs revival, which was just renewed for a second season after becoming the #1 new comedy of the year.
Over at FX, the legendary American Horror Story is entering its 13th installment, and it was revealed that Paul Anthony Kelly (Love Story) will be joining the star-studded cast.
3. A Massive Year for Sports (Super Bowl LXI)

Disney is positioning 2027 to be the biggest year in sports history for the company. They will be the home to four of the largest cultural events in a single year:
- The College Football Playoff Championship
- The GRAMMYs
- Super Bowl LXI (on ESPN and ABC)
- The Oscars
To celebrate the Super Bowl, a “Who’s Who” of MVPs (including Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Troy Aikman) took the stage. We also learned that ESPN Beach will be taking over the Santa Monica Pier for a week of live broadcasts leading up to the Big Game.
4. Streaming & New Series Sneak Peeks

Disney also teased a robust slate of high-end dramas coming to Hulu and FX:
- Cry Wolf (FX): A psychological drama starring Brie Larson and Olivia Colman.
- The Land (Hulu): A football family drama from Dan Fogelman, starring Christopher Meloni and Mandy Moore.
- Count My Lies (Hulu): A limited series featuring Lindsay Lohan, Shailene Woodley, and Kit Harington.
5. The Savannah Bananas & Olivia Rodrigo

The presentation was bookended by high-energy performances. The Savannah Bananas kicked things off by turning the stage into a literal circus, and it was announced that Disney+ will now be the official home of the “Banana Bowl.”
To close the night, Disney alum turned global superstar Olivia Rodrigo took the stage for a show-stopping musical performance, bringing the “Fandom” theme full circle.
Which reveal are you most excited for? Are you ready for more Ahsoka, or is the Scrubs revival your most anticipated watch?
