Get ready to look over your shoulder this fall, theme park fans! SeaWorld has announced a massive addition to this year’s Howl-O-Scream lineup: all-new haunted houses inspired by the iconic Sony Pictures horror film, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
Marking the first time the chilling franchise has ever been brought to life at a major Halloween event, “I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch” is set to debut on September 11 at SeaWorld Orlando, SeaWorld San Diego, and SeaWorld San Antonio.
Based on the 1997 horror hit, the new experience plunges guests straight into the terrifying world of a group of friends trying to hide a deadly accident, only to awaken a vengeful killer. Visitors will wander through authentic, chilling recreations of unforgettable movie scenes and live out the terror of the original Southport massacre.
United Parks & Resorts CEO Marc Swanson shared his excitement for the milestone addition:
“We’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar on immersive entertainment, and bringing ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ to our Howl-O-Scream events is an exciting milestone for all three SeaWorld parks… As one thrilling part of a lineup of haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment and immersive experiences, we are excited to deliver what we believe is our most ambitious Howl-O-Scream yet.”
Howl-O-Scream runs on select nights from September 11 through October 31. Beyond the new houses, guests can look forward to signature scare zones, sinister live entertainment, themed bars, and the chance to ride major roller coasters in the dark.
If you want to lock in your scares early, special promotions are currently underway:
- SeaWorld Orlando & SeaWorld San Diego: Take advantage of the limited-time Killer Summer Sale, featuring savings of up to 65% on Howl-O-Scream tickets (and up to 70% for Pass Members).
- SeaWorld San Antonio: Howl-O-Scream is included with regular park admission, and visitors can score savings on tickets, Season Passes, and Annual Passes during the Summer Sale.
