Universal Epic Universe has barely passed its one-year anniversary, and it’s already gearing up for what’s next. A brand-new indoor coaster is on the way to Dark Universe, one of the park’s five worlds.
What We Know So Far
The new ride will sit right beside Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, an attraction that has already picked up awards. Guests can expect a fresh story built around the classic Universal Monsters, and construction is already underway. Universal says it will open in the next few years, but there’s no firm date yet. More details are promised down the road, so keep an eye out for announcements.
More Coming to Universal Orlando
This coaster is part of a bigger push, as Universal Orlando Resort keeps rolling out new experiences across the whole destination. Over the next year or so, here’s what’s on the way:
- Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse: a reimagined version of the classic show, opening later this year at Universal Studios Florida
- Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift: a high-speed coaster coming to Universal Studios Florida in 2027
- A new signature restaurant in Jurassic Park: a full-service spot at Universal Islands of Adventure, also opening in 2027
- Luke Combs’ Category 10: a music and entertainment venue at Universal CityWalk, slated for late 2027
Final Thoughts
Between a new Dark Universe coaster in the works and a packed lineup of openings across the resort, there’s plenty to look forward to for Orlando theme park fans. We’ll be sharing more details on this new roller coaster coming to Dark Universe as Universal reveals more.
