If you’ve ever sat in a theater and felt like the screen wasn’t quite big enough or the sound was a bit “off” for a major blockbuster, Disney is officially solving that problem. This week, the studio unveiled Infinity Vision, a new gold-standard certification specifically for Premium Large Format (PLF) theaters.
What exactly is Infinity Vision? Think of it as a stamp of approval from Disney itself. Much like IMAX or Dolby, if a theater carries the Infinity Vision badge, you are guaranteed a top-tier experience. Disney’s tech team is working directly with theaters to ensure these rooms meet strict requirements for:
-
Massive Scale: The largest screens available.
-
Laser-Sharp Visuals: High-contrast laser projection that makes every special effect pop.
-
Immersive Audio: Sound systems that put you right in the middle of the action.
Why now? Disney wants to make sure their massive 2026 slate is seen exactly how the filmmakers intended. The timing couldn’t be better: the program is launching just in time for the September 2026 re-release of Avengers: Endgame and the massive global debut of Avengers: Doomsday this December.
How to find it: Disney has already identified over 375 screens globally that qualify for the “Infinity” branding. As we get closer to the end of the year, keep an eye out for the Infinity Vision logo when you’re booking your tickets online.
If you want to see the Multiverse the right way, this is the logo you’re looking for!
